Paddle boat rides on Xuan Huong Lake in Dalat City have been temporarily resumed.
On August 20, local authorities in Xuan Huong Ward said the service had been allowed to operate again on an interim basis, given the rising demand from visitors during summer and the National Day holiday, while awaiting the completion of a new bidding process.
In October 2024, Dalat city authorities had ordered the termination of contracts and halted the paddle boat service on the 38-hectare lake due to a lack of proper licensing. At that time, three businesses were operating a fleet of 95 paddle boats along with three rescue canoes.
Following the suspension, operators submitted licence applications, hoping to restore the long-standing recreational activity that has become a familiar attraction for visitors to the city.
