A grand military parade will be held in Hanoi on Vietnam's National Day on September 2.

After passing the grandstand at Ba Dinh Square, parade contingents will split into seven directions, moving along major city centre streets. About 30,000 people are expected to join the event, not including the marching units themselves.

The Ba Dinh Square grandstand area will be reserved for guests. Residents can watch the parade along its route or via 270 LED screens set up on various streets. Authorities have urged the public to follow security regulations and guidance from officials.

Some streets along the marching route include Nguyen Thai Hoc, Trang Thi, Trang Tien, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Le Duan, Le Hong Phong, Ngoc Ha, Doi Can, Giang Van Minh, Hang Chao, and Trinh Hoai Duc.

The wheeled vehicle convoy will travel through Nguyen Thai Hoc, Giang Vo, Cua Bac, Nghi Tam, Au Co, Vo Chi Cong, Lang, Tran Duy Hung, Thang Long Boulevard, and Le Quang Dao.
