The event, held on the streets surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake, was a general rehearsal for the “For a Peaceful Capital” celebration and a ceremonial mobilisation to ensure public security during the commemorations.

Colonel Le Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Police Department, led the rehearsal from an open-top command vehicle.

The parade featured multiple formations, including a photo escort team of President Ho Chi Minh, a Red Flag bloc, a command car, 15 marching formations, five parade columns, and 10 motorcade units.

Participating units represented various branches: people’s security, criminal investigation, traffic police, mobile police, fire and rescue services, administrative management, logistics, technical forces, and commune-level police.

Alongside the display of tactical vehicles and specialised equipment, officers showcased martial arts performances to demonstrate their readiness and capabilities.

In one simulated scenario, young bikers caused public disturbance by reckless driving. A female traffic police officer received the command to act, jumped high, and swiftly brought down the offender, drawing applause from bystanders.

From dawn, hundreds of citizens lined both sides of the streets to watch the rehearsal and martial arts displays by police officers.
The “For a Peaceful Capital” parade and mobilisation ceremony are scheduled for August 10, reaffirming the commitment to building a revolutionary, professional, and modern public security force.
