According to a plan issued by the Hanoi People’s Committee, the programme is scheduled to begin at 8.10 pm on January 23, with fireworks launched from the My Dinh National Stadium area.
The Hanoi Capital Command has been tasked with coordinating inspections to ensure that the fireworks meet required technical standards.

City police will draw up security and traffic plans, including crowd control and diversions, while the Department of Culture and Sports will oversee the installation of large LED screens at the stadium square.
Authorities will also install temporary public toilets in and around the fireworks area to serve large crowds and maintain urban order.
The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is scheduled to take place in Hanoi from January 19 to 25.
