
The operator ran a peak Tet timetable from February 14 to 22, operating more than 3,333 services without incident.
Of the total ridership, the Cat Linh-Ha Dong line served more than 165,000 passengers, while the elevated section of the Nhon-Hanoi Station line carried nearly 78,000.
The increase reflects a growing preference for public transport during peak holiday periods, as metro services provide punctuality, safety and stable capacity for spring outings, family visits and connections to major transport hubs.
Hanoi Metro said maintaining safe and punctual operations during the busy period has strengthened passenger confidence and underscored the system’s expanding role in the capital’s public transport network.
From February 23, both lines resumed their standard timetable, operating daily from 5.30 am to 10 pm, with six-minute intervals during weekday peak hours and 10 minutes off-peak. Weekend and public holiday services run at 10-minute intervals.
