On display are 152 ancient maps, bibliographies, and royal documents which include historic and legal evidence proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa.
The exhibition also presents photographs of the naval force who are on duty and serve to protect the sovereignty of the islands.
Images of local fishermen exploiting and fishing at sea are also exhibited.
The exhibition that introduces images of the Paracel islands to the young Vietnamese generation aims to public awareness and their sense of responsibility about safeguarding the country’s sovereignty over seas and islands, helping to assert Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos in the East Sea.
The exhibition is scheduled to last through to June 10.
