Every Thursday morning, members of the club cook 700-850 servings of porridge for patients at Danang Tumour Hospital.
They come to the hospital to prepare the food from early in the morning. The porridge is made from different ingredients such as rice, carrots, potatoes and pork.
The club members and the hospital staff use trolleys to distribute the porridge.
The club has maintained the work for nine years. It has around 50 members including teachers, office staff and business people.
Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa, 49, from Lien Chieu District, Danang City, head of the club, said that besides Thursday, they will help the hospital to cook some other kinds of food such as steamed rice cakes and steamed rice rolls.
According to Hoa, she had to take care of her child at the hospital many times. So she had great sympathy for the patients.
