Hanoi water tank to be opened to visitors
Hang Dau Water Tank in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh District will be restored and opened to visitors soon.
This is part of the framework of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023 slated to take place from November 17-26, which aims to promote creative resources in the capital city. The event will be jointly held by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Association of Architects, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The festival will offer visitors a chance to experience creative spaces along a route connecting the Old Quarter, the pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake, Hang Dau Water Tower, Long Bien Railway Station, Long Bien Bridge, Gia Lam Railway Station, and Gia Lam Train Factory.
On this occasion, Hang Dau Water Tank which has been left idle for many years will be upgraded to open to visitors between November 17 and December 31. Architects and artists will replicate the sound of natural water and install a lighting system inspired by recycled urban waste. This is aimed to highlight the role of water in life as well as strong connection between humans and nature.
