HCM City calls for residents to move out of incomplete apartment block
HCM City’s authorities continue to ask dozens of households in a local apartment building to move out as investor has violated regulations.
An Dien Construction Company, the building’s investor, failed to follow procedures when selling the homes, which may cause unexpected risks and difficulties for the buyers.
Vien Ngoc Phuong Nam apartment block has 18 floors with two basements. It contains a total of 192 apartments and the project was approved in 2009. Last year, the inspectorate of the city Department of Construction fined the investor for letting residents move in, violating regulations on the construction safety and quality.
According to An Dien Company, the construction was behind schedule so they were afraid of violating the contracts with the home buyers. The company decided to let the buyers move in to meet the scheduled handover outlined the contracts.
