Speaking at the launching ceremony on November 16, General Director of the Saigon Jewellery Company Limited, Le Thuy Hang, said the VIJF had been organised for 29 consecutive years with the support of the HCM City People's Committee and the Vietnam Gold Trading Association.
"This annual event has contributed to the development of the Vietnamese gem and jewellery industry and become a reliable destination for businesses to seek opportunities for co-operation and introduce new products."
The VIJF 2023 introduced various sections, including jewellery, gems and stones, jewellery-making equipment, and customer services.
Discounts from different brands were earmarked for the fair.
As demand for gold jewellery increases at the year-end, the fair expects to receive 20,000 visitors.
The fair will run until November 19 at the Nguyen Du Stadium at 116 Nguyen Du Street, District 1, HCM City.
