Vietnam striker Nguyen Xuan Son has been named among the 10 highest-valued players at the ASEAN Cup 2026, according to football statistics website Transfermarkt. Indonesia accounts for eight of the 10 players on the list despite the absence of several of its Europe-based stars.

Many of Indonesia's most valuable footballers are unavailable for this year's Southeast Asian championship because they are competing for clubs in Europe. Even so, the country remains the most heavily represented in the rankings, largely thanks to naturalised players born in Europe.
The tournament's highest-valued player is Indonesia centre-back Justin Hubner, who was born in the Netherlands and is valued at EUR 1 million.
Second is Indonesia midfielder Thom Haye, also Dutch-born, with an estimated market value of EUR 900,000.
Third is Indonesia centre-back Rizky Ridho, one of the few players on the list developed through the country's domestic football system, with an estimated value of EUR 650,000.
Joint fourth are two Indonesian players: Belgian-born defender Sandy Walsh and Finland-born midfielder Eliano Johannes Reijnders, each valued at EUR 600,000.
Vietnam's Nguyen Xuan Son shares sixth place with Indonesia defender Jordi Amat, who was born in Spain. Both players are valued at EUR 550,000.
Joint eighth are Thailand striker Teerasak Poeiphimai and Dutch-born Indonesia forward Ragnar Oratmangoen, each with an estimated market value of EUR 500,000.
