VTVcab is also aiming to bring international tournaments, such as the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship (EURO), to Vietnamese audiences.

VTVcab general director Bui Huy Nam told Znews newswire that discussions to secure the Premier League rights are ongoing. Owning these rights would allow Vietnamese fans to watch the top matches of England’s premier football league, where 20 teams compete for the prestigious English championship.

He revealed that the negotiations are currently focused solely on commercial terms.

In addition, VTV9 and VTVcab have announced a partnership to broadcast European competitions, including Italy’s Serie A, France’s Ligue 1, the UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Conference League, starting from November 2025.

VTV9 has become the only national television channel in Vietnam to air these tournaments for free, giving audiences across the country greater access to European football.

Matches will be broadcast live on the VTV9 channel, VTVcab’s sports channel network, and the VTVprime application. Fans can also enjoy commentary programmes, interactive minigames, and behind-the-scenes content, offering a richer and more engaging football experience.
