In the winners’ bracket, Van Huynh defeated fellow countryman Ho So Phat to claim a direct spot in the finals, while Chau advanced through the losers’ bracket. The other two Vietnamese participants, Duong Quoc Hoang and Pham Phuong Nam, were previously granted wildcards.
The championship features 96 cueists competing for a total prize pool of USD 250,000, with the winner receiving USD 70,000, the runner-up USD 40,000, and third place USD 17,500.
The tournament begins with a double-elimination stage to determine the top 32 players, followed by a single-elimination round to decide the champion. The event will conclude on September 28.
