Top seed Truong Vinh Hien delivered another dominant display, comfortably defeating Mitchell Hargreaves in the quarter-finals. The Vietnamese player controlled the match throughout and secured a straight-sets victory, winning 11-6, 11-7.

The result further strengthened Vinh Hien’s status as the leading contender for the title at the regional tournament. His intelligent shot selection and excellent control of the pace left his opponent with little opportunity to recover.
In the other quarter-final, Nguyen Hung Anh produced an equally impressive performance by overcoming India’s Vanshik Kapadia in a tense contest.
Both sets were closely fought, with the players trading points throughout. However, Hung Anh remained calmer in the decisive moments and edged both sets 12-10 to complete a dramatic straight-sets win.

The victory set up an all-Vietnamese semi-final clash between Vinh Hien and Hung Anh.
According to the tournament schedule, the semi-final will take place at 9 am on May 16. In the other semi-final, Will Shaffer will face Nasa Hatakeyama for a place in the final.
