The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has awarded the national team a bonus of VND 1 billion (approximately USD 38,200) following its convincing 3-0 win over Indonesia on August 3, a result that strengthened its chances of reaching the ASEAN Cup 2026 semi-finals.
Coached by Kim Sang Sik, the defending champions are now well placed to progress from Group A after securing a crucial away victory.
Vietnam have one group-stage match remaining, against Cambodia at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi on August 7.
A victory would guarantee a place in the semi-finals and could also see Vietnam advance as Group A winners, depending on other results.

Alongside the financial reward, the VFF congratulated the squad on its performance.
"Congratulations to the Vietnam national team on securing three extremely important points against hosts Indonesia," the federation said on its official Facebook page.
It also urged supporters to continue backing the team in its final group-stage match against Cambodia at 8 pm on August 7 at My Dinh Stadium.
The VFF has set winning the ASEAN Cup 2026 as the team's primary objective, with Kim Sang Sik and his players aiming to retain the regional title.
