An exhibition featuring the works of 10 Vietnamese and Swedish cartoon artists on climate change -- "Facing the Climate" -- opened in Hanoi.

An exhibition featuring the works of 10 Vietnamese and Swedish cartoon artists on climate change -- "Facing the Climate" -- opened in Hanoi on September 28.

Swedish Ambassador Camilla Mellander said at the opening ceremony everyone should work to protect the raw beauty of Vietnam, and while Vietnam has many beautiful landscapes, it is among the top 10 countries most affected by climate change.

Two forums on climate change are being held at Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Art on September 30 and Afred Nobel High School on October 1. Young students will have a chance to talk with award-winning Swedish artist Magnus Bard.

The exhibition is open free of charge at the Vietnam National Library on 31 Trang Thi from September 28 to October 2.

"Facing the Climate" was first held in 2010 and has been staged in France, Brazil and Greece. The exhibition calls for a fresh point of view, attitude and more responsibility of individuals on environmental issues for a more sustainable society.
