The 13th Danang International Marathon 2026 is scheduled to take place on March 21-22, with nearly 10,000 runners from Vietnam and overseas expected to compete.
According to a plan issued by the Danang People’s Committee, the opening ceremony will be held at 9 am on March 20 at Bien Dong Park on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, An Hai Ward.
Organisers expect around 7,000 domestic runners and 3,000 international participants from about 70 countries and territories.
The main race categories include the 42 km marathon, 21 km half marathon and 5 km race, all scheduled for March 22. Children’s races will also be organised on March 21, including the Ronny Dash 1.5 km event and a 500 metre run.
Participants can register online through the event’s official website at www.rundanang.com.
Runners who complete the 42 km, 21 km and 5 km races within the required time limits will receive finisher medals. Athletes placing first, second and third in each distance, for both men and women, will receive trophies and prizes.
For the 42 km marathon, additional prizes will also be awarded across different age groups.
The annual Danang International Marathon aims to encourage sports participation in the community while promoting Danang City as a destination for international sporting events.
