
Shortly after arriving in Hanoi on the evening of May 27, Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas and his spouse Nagy Zsuzsanna, accompanied by a Hungarian delegation, took a leisurely walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and visited several cultural and historical landmarks in the capital.

Despite light rain, President Sulyok and his wife appeared enthusiastic. The couple walked hand in hand along the streets leading to Hoan Kiem Lake, taking in the serene beauty of Hanoi at night.

The delegation paused at the Ly Thai To statue, attentively listening to an introduction about the founding king of the Ly Dynasty and key milestones in the thousand-year history and culture of Thang Long – Hanoi.

They then continued toward Hoan Kiem Lake, strolling leisurely and admiring the illuminated Turtle Tower, a symbolic landmark deeply rooted in the capital's history.

President Sulyok and his wife appeared warm and approachable, frequently smiling and waving at locals gathered along the lakeside.


On Trang Tien Street, the visitors took in the architectural charm of the area while observing the vibrant, culturally rich life of Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

The walk concluded near the Hanoi Opera House, after which the delegation returned to the Metropole Hotel to rest.

According to the official schedule, the Hungarian president and his spouse will begin participating in formal activities of the state visit to Vietnam on May 28.
