The event is a long-standing cultural activity, offering residents and visitors a space to enjoy the Lunar New Year (Tet).
According to the organisers, the festival will be open to the public from the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. Exhibition spaces at Tao Dan Park are arranged by entrance gates, featuring distinctive display areas.
This year, the imagery of the zodiac animal of the Year of the Horse is prominently incorporated into the artistic installations.
Alongside the decorative installations, the Tao Dan Spring Flower Festival continues to host exhibitions, displays and competitions in ornamental horticulture.
Visitors can view collections across various categories, including bonsai, miniature landscapes, orchids, desert roses, ornamental stones and driftwood, as well as the traditional songbird competition.
Besides the Spring Flower Festival, Ho Chi Minh City is organising some Tet flower markets to meet public shopping demand. These include flower markets at 23 Thang 9 Park, Gia Dinh Park and Le Van Tam Park, Binh Dien Tet flower market, and the Phu My Hung flower street.
Additional Tet flower markets are being held at Ly Thuong Kiet -Pham Ngu La-Le Lai-Thong Nhat Park (former Vung Tau city area) and at Bach Dang pedestrian street (former Binh Duong area), serving residents’ Tet flower purchasing needs.
