Hanoi will install large LED screens at multiple public locations to support information dissemination before and during the upcoming celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
At a recent meeting on preparations for the event, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasised that this year’s National Day celebration is a major national event of special significance.
Chairman Thanh tasked the Institute for Socio-Economic Development Studies with coordinating the Department of Culture and Sports and other relevant agencies to organise an exhibition showcasing Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements in celebration of the 80th National Day.
For the parade and mass gathering events, the Department of Culture and Sports has been assigned to work with other departments to conduct site surveys and determine suitable locations for the installation of LED screens for public viewing and promotion.
Hanoi authorities also plan to organise a live television broadcast of the rally, military parade and march as part of the official programme.
In terms of security and logistics, Hanoi Police and the Capital High Command have been directed to work with units under the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defence to prepare vehicles and models for the parade.
