A poor little girl in the southern province of Binh Duong Province is suffering from congenital heart problems, and her mother left her at four months old.
The four-year-old girl weighs only 11kg
Now Tran Thi Thuy Diem lives with her father and her grandfather at a house located in a brick production area in Thanh Phuoc Commune, Tan Uyen District.
Diem’s family came in hopes of earning living. Her father, Tran Van Buoi, now works for the workshop earning about VND70,000 (USD3.3) per day in a very polluted atmosphere.
Over the past five years, they have not been able to return to their hometown in the neighbouring An Giang Province because of the financial difficulty. The situation has become worse now that Diem is faced with heart disease.

Buoi and his wife got married without a marriage certificate. When Diem was four months old she was diagnosed with the heard disease and her family was told that she needs surgery costing VND70 million.The wife left home without saying a word.
Diem now is four years old, but she weighs only 11 kilogrammes. Her lips and fingers are pale, and she has trouble taking any food except instant noodles.
The family lives in the squalor surrounding the factory, which effects everyone in the house's health, but her father is powerless to change the situation.
Huynh Ngoc Binh, Vice Chairman of Thanh Phuoc Commune, has sympathy for Diem’s family, but the locality’s budget remains limited. He hoped that DTiNews readers will help to save the little girl.
