DTiNews readers donated a total VND216 million (USD10,280) to a 12-year old girl suffering from ocular lymphoma in Nghe An Province.

The donations were made through the Compassionate Hearts Charity Fund of DTiNews and the Nghe An Oncology Hospital, where the girl is receiving treatment after an article appeared about her condition on DTiNews.
Vu Y Go, from the Mong ethnic minority group, is now being treated in the surgery department of Nghe An Oncology Hospital. Her left eye bulges out of the socket. Because her parents cannot speak Vietnamese, Go is alone in the hospital with Vu Ba Go, a villager who acts as her interpreter.

Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tao, from Nghe An Oncology Hospital, said Go’s situation is now critical because she was taken to the hospital late. Now doctors are trying their best to save her life.
Some friendly villagers have been taking care of Go, since her parents are unable to communicate with the Vietnamese medical staff.
