Dantri/Dtinews-funded kindergarten opens in remote Cao Bang commune

A new Dantri/Dtinews-supported nursery school has been inaugurated in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang, built in partnership with donors and local authorities.

Dantri held the opening ceremony for Lung Khinh Kindergarten, part of Da Thong Kindergarten in Thong Nong Commune, Cao Bang Province on November 27 after three months of construction.

Speaking at the event, Dantri's Editor-in-Chief Pham Tuan Anh thanked provincial leaders and local agencies for supporting the project, which was implemented with the Training Department of the Ministry of Public Security and Cao Bang Provincial Police Department.

He expressed gratitude to Minh Tri Thanh Academy JSC, which contributed VND 500 million (USD 20,800) of the total VND 522.5 million (USD 21,800) cost, and noted the company’s long-standing support for Dantri’s social welfare programmes.

He also thanked Giang Phu JSC, the construction contractor, for completing the building on schedule with assured quality, and the teachers and residents of Lung Khinh who volunteered labour to speed up completion.

Pham Tuan Anh said Dantri has prioritised social welfare for many years alongside its political and professional work, serving as a bridge for charitable initiatives that foster solidarity and aid communities in economic and social development.

Lt Gen Tran Minh Le, head of the Training Department, said he was pleased the new facility would give teachers and pupils a better learning environment.

Nguyen Van Luong, general director of Minh Tri Thanh Academy JSC, said the company was honoured to support construction of the school and hoped to continue cooperating with Dantri and the Training Department in future community efforts.

Representing local authorities, Ly Van Chien, party secretary of Thong Nong Commune, offered deep thanks to Dantri, the Training Department, provincial police, the donor company and all agencies involved.

At the ceremony, Dantri’s Editor-in-Chief presented 20 gift packages funded by readers to 20 households in special hardship in Thong Nong, each worth VND 500,000 (USD 21). Lt Gen Tran Minh Le gifted a computer and 20 blankets to the school.

Minh Tri Thanh Academy JSC also gave 20 gifts and confectionery to teachers and pupils, while the provincial Department of Home Affairs youth union and the construction contractor presented additional meaningful donations.

A total of 58 Dantri-funded school projects have now been launched nationwide, with 56 completed, thanks to contributions from readers and benefactors.
