The seventh bridge named after Dantri was opened in Quang Binh Province on August 21, ensuring the safety of the locals during flood seasons.

Opening ceremony
Despite the rain, hundreds of residents in Trong Hoa Commune attended the opening ceremony. The bridge, which connects the two villages of Ong Tu and Hung, is a dream come true for many people here. Pham Huy Hoan, editor-in-chief of Dantri, Nguyen Xuan Quang, deputy head of Quang Binh Province People's Committee and other officials from Quang Binh Province also attended the event.

The new bridge
For many years, the students had to swim across the river to get to school. This was a dangerous task because the strong flows can easily sweep the students away. After the story was published, Dantri readers donated over VND1.3 billion. With the help of local authorities, the VND9.8 billion project has been completed.

Students swim to school
Pham Huy Hoan, editor-in-chief of Dantri said, "From now on, students won't have to swim to school, especially during flood season, and transportation for the locals will be more convenient. I want to express gratitude to the thousands of donors in Vietnam and overseas, to Construction Commercial Investment JSC 343 and the local authorities who helped to speed up the construction. "

Students of Hung Primary School receive gifts
Nguyen Xuan Quang, deputy head of Quang Binh Province People's Committee, said, "Not only will this bridge ensure safe transportation, it will boost the local economy." He went on to say that since it is a suspension bridge, contractors must monitor and carry out maintenance carefully.
Also on this occasion, the Nam Cuong Group co-operated with Dantri to give Hung Primary School gifts worth a total of VND50 million, including a projector and school supplies to 67 students.
