With over 120 stalls, the rural-style weekend market in Tan Phu Trung Commune is open from 4.30 pm to 8 pm every Saturday and Sunday until the coming Tet Lunar New Year.

At around 3 pm, vendors start preparing for their business.

Pham Van Binh, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Tan Phu Trung Commune People's Committee said that the market is a trading hub and an economic model designed to support local livelihoods and boost rural community tourism. He added that if the model proves effective, it will be expanded.

Earlier, local authorities worked with concerned agencies on a detailed plan to ensure traffic safety, food safety, and environmental hygiene during the market's operations.

The market features outstanding dishes from Cu Chi, such as cassava cake, rice paper rolls, spring rolls, and a wide range of other street treats.

The products are locally produced by residents and certified for food safety and hygiene.

Nestled amidst the vast rice field, the market offers visitors harmony with nature.

Last weekend, the market attracted a total of 10,000 visitors.

Many traditional handicraft items of Cu Chi are also sold at the market.
