Eo Gio, one of Gia Lai Province's best-known coastal attractions, will host its first high-altitude fireworks display on the evening of July 11 in a move aimed at boosting the province's summer tourism season.
The fireworks show will take place at the Eo Gio Ecotourism Area in Quy Nhon Dong Ward as part of the "Eo Gio-Dance of the Blue Sea" arts programme.
The event will feature a large-scale outdoor music concert with modern sound and lighting systems set against the coastal landscape. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9.15 pm, immediately after the concert, and will last approximately 15 minutes.

According to the Gia Lai Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is intended to create a new attraction for the summer season and meet growing demand for entertainment among thousands of visitors expected over the weekend.
The programme forms part of activities celebrating Vietnam's National Tourism Year 2026, hosted by Gia Lai Province with support from FLC Group.
Located on Phuong Mai Peninsula, about 20km northeast of Quy Nhon, Eo Gio is renowned for its rugged coastline, dramatic rock formations and crystal-clear waters. The site has been upgraded with a gateway, observation deck and coastal walking trail, allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic sea views, sunrises and sunsets.
Do Thi Dieu Hanh, director of the Gia Lai Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said 2026 marked an important milestone as the province hosts the National Tourism Year. She said the event provides an opportunity to showcase the province's coastal, forest and highland landscapes, along with its rich cultural heritage, while strengthening tourism as a key economic sector.
During the first half of the year, Gia Lai Province organised more than 60 cultural and tourism events, including the opening week of National Tourism Year 2026 and the Summer Tourism Festival, helping promote the province as a travel destination and stimulate visitor demand.
The province has also received growing international recognition. Quy Nhon was ranked among the world's four top trending destinations for 2026 by Tripadvisor, while Lonely Planet included the city among its top 25 global destinations and top 25 seaside destinations for 2026. Quy Nhon also earned the ASEAN Clean Tourist City award for the third time.
Supported by expanded tourism promotion and service improvements, Gia Lai welcomed 8.75 million visitors in the first six months of the year, up 19 per cent from the same period in 2025. Tourism revenue exceeded VND 19 trillion (about USD 727 million), while international arrivals surged 80 per cent, reflecting the province's growing appeal to overseas travellers.
