The tunnels located at a roundabout at Nguyen Van Linh-Nguyen Huu Tho Intersection in the city’s District 7 are aimed to ease traffic congestion.

In the first phase, the project focuses on building two tunnels which have a combined length of 900 metres. Vehicles are allowed to run at a speed of 60 km per hour on the tunnels. The construction is scheduled to be completed in June 2022.
The median strip area between Nguyen Van Linh and Nguyen Huu Tho streets will be revised to include turns.
The second phase is the construction of two overpasses.
Contractors also have to remove trees and lights as well as cable system and water pipes.
