The Vietnam Health Education and Literature Projects (VNHELP) has just awarded 75 scholarships to disadvantaged students from six universities across Hanoi.

Since 2010, the VNHELP organisation, which is based in the US, has presented the Nguyen Truong To scholarships to Vietnamese students with a total value of USD $194,393. The annual scholarship programme awards 75 scholarships, each worth USD $250, to disadvantaged students at local universities.
Speaking at the event, former Editor-in-Chief of the DanTri/DTiNews Online Newspaper and vice chairman of the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund's management board, Pham Huy Hoan, expressed his thanks for VNHELP's support of Vietnamese students over the past 13 years.

‘Your help has not only supported local disadvantaged students but also encouraged the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund to strive for the goal of promoting education in the country’, he said.

Nguyen Phuong Anh from Hanoi University of Teachers' Training was one of the students who received a scholarship this year. Anh said that the scholarship was very meaningful to her.
‘I want to send my sincere thanks to VNHELP for your valuable support that helps ease some burden for my family’, she said. ‘Your support will also encourage me a lot in my studies and life’.
