VN-Index hits slight increase

According to VnDirect, the global stock market’s boom last week has affected Vietnamese investors’ psychology in a positive manner.

Meanwhile, FPT Securities Company said that this week that the stock market will not be active and may fluctuate from 493 to 512 points.

VN-Index closed its transaction at a slight increase of 0.6 percent or 3.02 points reaching 510.02 points.

There are 103 codes with a price increase however the market cannot surge if the money flow remains low.

The total transaction value today was worth over VND913 billion ($49,000) equivalent to 21.16 million shares.

Some shares hit ceiling prices including ACL of Cuu Long An Giang Sea Foods Import-Export Joint Stock Company, BAS of Basa Joint Stock Company, VFC of Vinafco Joint Stock Company and VPL of Vinpearland Tourism Joint Stock Company.

A deal of 100,000 shares of Hoang Anh Gia Lai at the end of transactions brought its price up to VND1,500 ($0.08) or VND80,000 ($4.4) per share. This code transaction was 350,000 shares.

Blue-chip shares increased slightly whereas SSI, STB remained the same.

On the HNX-Index floor, there was an increase of 0.94 points or 165.6 points. At the beginning of the day it went up 169 point then at 9.30AM it went down around 166 points.

At closing, there were 130 codes with increasing prices, 74 codes with the same price and 62 codes with decreasing prices.

Key shares also increased slightly including ACB, PVS went up VND500 ($0.02), VCG went up VND700 ($0.03), SHB went up VND300 ($0.01).

SQC, in particular, went up VND167,400 ($8.9) and remains the second strongest company traded on HNX Index floor following ACB.

Some shares hit ceiling prices including BTH, DST, HPS, NHC, NVC, SJ1, TCT. SSM shares made the biggest surge from VND1,400 ($0.07) to 50,600 (2.7).

Transactions increased 9 million units compared with the last transaction of the previous year worth VND298 billion ($16 million).


KLS leads the market with 1.97 million units, following VCG with 687,000, VGS with 595,000 and ACB with 392,000.
