A Vietnamese mother jumped to her death with her two children in the southern port city of Busan on Friday, according to police.
The mother, whose identity was withheld, jumped to her death from the 18th floor of an apartment building, holding her 7-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son, they said.
After eight years of marriage, the 27-year-old woman and her South Korean husband recently filed for divorce, police said
The 47-year-old husband failed to stop his family, as the mother had locked herself in a room before jumping, they said.
Police said they will look into a suicide note written in Vietnamese and question the husband for further details.
