Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh will attend the 46th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM 46), the ASEAN Post Ministerial Conference (PMC), the East Asia Summit (EAS) and the 20th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF20) in Brunei from June 28-July 2.
ASEAN 46 is the most important event for ASEAN and its partners to strengthen their cooperation and compare notes on international and regional issues of mutual concern.
There will be a series of meetings during the AMM46, including, the sixth Foreign Ministers Meeting of the Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI) and the US, the third meeting of Friends of the Lower Mekong (FLM), the sixth Mekong- Japan Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and the third Mekong, the Republic of Korea (RoK) Foreign Ministers Meeting and the Mekong and Ganga Cooperation (MGC).
Vietnam’s participation in AMM46 and related meetings aims to promote solidarity and cooperation within ASEAN and improve its relations with important partners such as the US, the RoK, India, Australia, New Zealand, the World Bank (WB) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
