| NA Chairman Hung arrives in Frankfurt |
He noted that the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership is growing and flourishing in all areas. Germany is currently Vietnam’s largest trade partner in the European Union, with two-way trade last year reaching nearly US$6 billion.
He suggested that German businesses take advantage of this good chance to invest in the areas of their strength, such as equipment manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and chemical industries, in Vietnam.
He asked them to increase investment promotion and cooperation with their Vietnamese counterparts.
Later he visited and presented gifts to officials and staff of the Vietnamese Consulate General and representatives of Vietnamese nationals in Frankfurt.
Hung is visiting Germany at the invitation of Norbert Lammert, President of the Bundestag, the lower house of the German parliament.
Germany is the second stopover during his European tour. Earlier in Russia, Hung held talks with Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia’s Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko, and met with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
After Germany he will fly to Warsaw to pay an official visit to Poland.
