
Bamboo Airways will transport medical goods and equipment donated by the Vietnamese government for the Czech Republic.
According to the airlines, the flight which will also transport 280 tourists from the Czech Republic and other European countries will depart at 8.20 am from Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi for Prague on March 25.
"The flight will be carefully prepared for virus prevention," the airlines said.
Bamboo Airways said that they would use the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for this special flight which will also be the first direct flight by a Vietnamese airline to the Czech Republic.
The airline has prepared for this route to be launched this year with two flights a week.
On Monday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc held phone talks with Czech counterpart Andrej Babis to discuss co-operation in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Andrej Babis appreciated the traditional friendship and co-operation between the two countries as well as the positive developments of the bilateral ties.
He spoke highly of Vietnam’s efforts in combating the disease, expressing his wish to share information and strengthen co-operation with Vietnam in the disease prevention and control.
Meanwhile, Phuc said Vietnam stands ready to collaborate with the Czech Republic and all the other partners in dealing with this global-level medical crisis.
He pledged to direct competent agencies to create favourable conditions for Czech nationals to return home in the time to come.
