The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) will step up tourism promotion in a professional manner by focusing mainly on organising big events in key markets, including China, Northeast Asia, ASEAN, Northwest Europe and North America, according to information from the government.
VNAT General Director Nguyen Van Tuan said tourism promotion events have been publicised so that interested agencies, especially advertising and PR companies, can bid for their organisation.
In the first two months, VNAT has invited some firms to participate in the biddings of holding series of events abroad, including tourism promotion campaigns and meetings between state and corporate officials of Vietnam, and their counterparts from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore from January 28 to March 6.
VNAT also plans to register a booth at different international exhibitions in Germany and Russia this March where tourism information of the country can be exchanged and advertised worldwide, Vietnam’s tourism clips will also be broadcasted on different Chinese TV channels.
Furthermore, a wide range of major cultural and tourism events will be held to celebrate the 1,000th founding anniversary of Thang Long-Ha Noi in 2010
Ọther events include the Hue Festival, Miss World in Nha Trang, an international film festival and an international puppetry and circus festival.
