The championship will feature 14 events, eight for men and six for women.

The team includes London Olympians Pham Phuoc Hung and Phan Thi Ha Thanh plus Nguyen Tuan Dat, Hoang Cuong, Nguyen Ha Thanh, Le Thanh Tung, Dang Nam and Do Thi Thu Huyen.


Phan Thi Ha Thanh won bronze at the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Competition in Tokyo to qualify for the London Olympics.


In the recent National Gymnastics Championships in Ha Noi, Thanh won four out of five women's individual gold medals, while Hung bagged three out of seven gold in the men's event.


The competition is being organised by the Asian Gymnastics Union and the Gymnastics Management Centre of China General Administration of Sport. It is expected to attract about 140 athletes from around 20 countries and regions.–
