Vietnam records additional 44 Covid-19 cases as of Monday morning

Vietnam detected another 44 locally-transmitted Covid-19 cases in the past 12 hours to 6am of Monday, the Ministry of Health has reported.

Vietnam detected another 44 locally-transmitted Covid-19 cases in the past 12 hours to 6am of Monday, the Ministry of Health has reported.

According to the Ministry, of the figure, 24 patients are from Bac Giang; 12 from HCM City; six from Bac Ninh and two from Ha Nam. They have all been quarantined.
 

The cases in HCM City are all related to the Revival Ekklesia Mission - a Christian church in HCM City’s Go Vap District.

By 6am on Monday, Vietnam confirmed a total of 7,235 locally-infected Covid-19 cases and 1,556 imported cases. The number of new infections recorded since April 27 reached 5,656 cases.

Meanwhile, 15 provinces namely Yen Bai, Quang Ngai, Dong Nai, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Dak Lak, Nam Dinh, Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Son La and Ninh Binh have reported no Covid-19 patient over the past 14 days.

The country has witnessed 53 Covid-19 deaths.

At present, 183,923 people are being put under quarantine, including 2,895 at hospitals and the others at quarantine sites and homes.
