Vietnam joins ADMM-7 in Brunei

Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh is leading a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 7th ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM-7) in Brunei from May 6-8.

The meeting will focus on reviewing recent developments and the security and defence situation in the ASEAN bloc, and try to work out defence exchange programmes, establish a framework for logistical support and a working group of mine clearance experts, and approve a joint declaration by ASEAN defence ministers.

The Indonesian Navy High Command will also introduce humanitarian aid and disaster relief (HARD) activities and military medicine within the framework of the ADMM+, which is scheduled to take place in Brunei June 16-26.
