A delegation from the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin (VAVA) led by its President Nguyen Van Rinh is paying a working visit to Australia from March 3-10 to foster links in seeking justice for AO victims in Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand and the US, among others.

During the first visit to Australia by a VAVA leader, the delegation will liaison with charity organisations and human rights activists in New South Wales , Tasmania and Victoria states towards ushering in a new period of international justice campaigns for AO/dioxin victims.
Rinh said that VAVA’s information would help the Australian Government and people learn more about the devastating effect of AO/dioxin on environment and the health of Vietnamese people as well as war veterans from the US’s allies who once fought in Vietnam .
At a meeting with relevant agencies in Sydney, the delegation received warm response while answering queries on how to link tourism with the support for AO/dioxin victims, construction on a war museum, the long-term impacts of the toxic substance on human and the prospect of the justice fight for sufferers.
