The United States Embassy is pleased to open the doors of its Consular Section to colleagues in the Government of Vietnam and to the media on November 30.
The open house will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, November 30 at the Rose Garden Building, #170 Ngoc Khanh Street, Ba Dinh, Hanoi
The Open House will afford visitors the rare opportunity to understand how the United States reaches decisions on visas and completes their processing.
A valid visa is the essential key for travel from Vietnam to the U.S. Since 1995, the Embassy and Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City combined have issued nearly 300,000 nonimmigrant visas. Approximately 40,000 of these visas have been for young Vietnamese to study in the U.S. These visas represent one of the most important pillars of the U.S.-Vietnam bilateral relationship.
Interested persons should register their names with Ms. Ha Ngoc Le, U.S. Embassy Information Assistant, at phone: 04-3850-5000 (ext 6028), or email: haln@state.gov, before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2010. Reporters should also plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the event starts.
