According to the ministry's report, the two men aged 31 and 32 landed at Can Tho International Airport in Can Tho City on November 7.

They were sent to a local quarantine area upon arrival and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on November 8.

The two patients are now being treated at the Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases in Can Tho City.

With these new infection cases, the number of imported Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to 524.

As of 6 pm on November 9, a total of1,087 Covid-19 patients had recovered and been discharged from hospital. There have been 35 deaths, most of them being the elderly with serious underlying diseases.

The country has gone 67 days without reporting any new case in the community.

At present, over 14,409 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or returned from virus-hit areas are being monitored at hospitals, quarantine facilities, and at home.
