From May 1 to May 15, the daily flight frequency on Hanoi-HCM City route will rise to 36, with 12 for Hanoi/HCM City-Danang routes.

The number of return flights on the Hanoi-HCM City and Hanoi/HCM City-Danang routes is expected to grow to 52 and 20 per day respectively.

The frequency change will be based on airline demand for other domestic routes.

For road transport, cities and provinces nationwide are allowed to decide the operation of passenger bus and taxi services within their localities.

However, inter-provincial coach services have to comply with the Ministry of Transport’s regulations for Covid-19 prevention. Only a maximum half of usual inter-provincial coach services are permitted to run in medium-risk localities. However services are allowed to return to normal as before the pandemic for low-risk localities.

The railway sector has also improved train services . Between April 29 and May 3, five trains are allowed to travel on Hanoi-HCM City route.

According to the PM, Vietnam had basically controlled the pandemic; but he noted that preventive measures still need to be strictly carried out as the disease remains complicated in many countries.
