The incident occurred at around 4:30 pm at Binh Nguyen Commune in Binh Son District when the train collided with a Mai Linh Group which was trying to cross the railway. At that time, four passengers were on taxi driven by Duong Dinh Hien, 24.
The scence of the accident
According to Cao Minh Huy, director of Nghia Binh Railway Company, said that the taxi was severely damaged. Ngo Thi Ngoc, 69, and her one-year-old niece died at the scene of the accident.
The injured people, including the driver, were quickly hospitalised.
In March, a train also hit a motorbike in the northern province of Hai Duong, leaving two women dead.
