Between 5 and 11 pm on Sunday, the water level on Huong River increased by 0.5 metres, inundating even the highest roads in the city. As a result, water swamped many local houses.

Meanwhile, more than 7,000 houses in Quang Nam Province have also been put under water, leading to major traffic difficulties.

Around 1,000 hectares of crops and more than 2,000 poultry in Quang Nam Province have been damaged by the flooding.
