The scene of the explosion
A guard for the adjacent building, said, "I heard a loud noise and then I saw the glass window on the second floor fell to the ground. Many people inside the restaurant ran out in a panic. I saw three injured people."
According to the police in Ba Dinh District, they have worked with Hanoi police to cordon off the scene and investigate the cause of the explosion. They have identified three injured people as a cook and two waitresses at the restaurant. They were transferred to the National Institute of Burns. They had burns to their faces and limbs.
Initial investigations indicate it was a gas explosion.
