Three Covid-19 treatment facilities set up at HCM City industrial parks

HCM City authorities have established three Covid-19 treatment facilities at local industrial parks, according to the HCM City Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Authority.

HCM City authorities have established three Covid-19 treatment facilities at local industrial parks, according to the HCM City Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Authority (HEPZA).

A 100-bed facility, that is located at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park in Thu Duc, is expected to be put into operation this weekend.

A 250-bed facility at Thuc Duc’s Linh Trung 2 Export Processing Zone would be put into operation soon.

Meanwhile, the third with 300 beds is at Dong Nam Industrial Park in Cu Chi District’s Hoa Phu Commune.

These healthcare stations would provide treatment for mild Covid-19 cases, helping firms to maintain their operations.

HEPZA said that the agency will work with the municipal people’s committee on the launch of more healthcare facilities at other industrial parks and export processing zones.

By November 1, 1,342 out of 1,412 businesses in local industrial parks and export processing zones had registered for operation again. In Saigon Hi-tech Park alone, all 88 enterprises with 145,000 workers have resumed their operations.

Pham Duc Hai, deputy head of the HCM City Covid-19 Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that low-risk Covid-19 infection areas now account for 45 percent of the city.
