Police in Hoi An City arrested a four-member gang on July 30 for several robberies targeting foreign travellers.

Those accused were Pham Huu Loi, 19, from Hoi An City; Nguyen Minh Hieu, 16 from Quang Nam Province: Le Tuan Hieu, 17, from Quang Ngai Province and Nguyen Tran Huu Phuc, 17, from Dak Lak.
Initial investigations indicated that, between July 24-28, the four teens jointly carried out six robberies involving foreigners on holiday in Hoi An. The police seized three motorbikes, four mobile phones, three cameras, two mobile dictionaries and other evidence.
One was accused of robbing an Australian tourist while she was cycling on the evening of July 24, stealing her handbag. Two other members of the group were accused of snatching an Austrian visitors handbag, which contained a camera and an Ipad, on the around noon on July 28.
