German piano prodigy Mona Asuka Ott will join the Hennessy Concert at Hanoi Opera House on June 12.

She will play Sonata No. 12, op. 26, in flat major in the group of 32 sonatas for piano by Beethoven, the Nocturne in C sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 1 and the Nocturne in D major, Op. 27 No. 2 by Chopin.

Mona Asuka Ott
Born in Munich in 1991, Mona Asuka Ott was into music very early at the age of four, and appeared first on TV in a duet with late conductor Marcello Viotti seven years later.

Mona performed for an orchestra when she was 13 years old, and quickly received invitations from many orchestras overseas. She has also performed solo at many prestigious music festivals in many countries.

Mona’s solo at the Ruhr Piano Festival in 2008 drew loud applause from the audience. She won the 2011 Sommets Musicaux Festival Prize, and received the audience prize at the 2006 Bad Kissingen Piano Olympics.

The Hennessy Concert will gather famou classical musicians as it was once attended by Russian Cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, the Chinese piano prodigy Natalie Zhu (Lang Lang), and Korean-US pianist Sarah Chang.
