According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, by late Wednesday, Storm Wipha had damaged 687 houses, including 19 in Phu Tho, 251 in Thanh Hoa, and 417 in Nghe An. As many as 3,351 others were flooded, including 3,237 in Nghe An and 114 in Thanh Hoa.

In My Ly Commune, Nghe An, alone, the floods nearly ruined over 230 homes.
Meanwhile, around 89,700 hectares of rice fields were submerged, including 10,000 hectares in Hung Yen, more than 56,100 hectares in Ninh Binh, and nearly 23,600 hectares in Thanh Hoa.
Around 4,400 hectares of rice and other crops were damaged, mostly in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An.
In Thanh Hoa, 63 landslides occurred along national and provincial roads, with an estimated 23,500 cubic metres of soil and rock displaced.
Up to 150 sites in Nghe An were affected by landslides and flooding, damaging key roadways, while three suspension bridges were swept away.
Cracks appeared on the right-bank dykes of the Cau and Red Rivers in Hanoi on July 23.
