The highest water level in Vung Tau City in Ba Ria-Vung Tau would be 4.25-4.35 metres on October 26-28. The peak tides in the southern coastal areas would occur between 1 am and 4 am and 1 pm to 5 pm. Inland tidal highs would be seen from 1 pm to 3 pm.

The highest water level on the Saigon and Dong Nai rivers would be between 1.68-1.73 metres at 5-7 am and 5-7 pm.

This afternoon, southern localities would have downpours with strong winds. Whirlwinds and thunder would also happen.

The tides and heavy rain have been forecasted to cause severe inundation for many areas in the south, particularly low-lying ones.

Localities from Nghe An to Quang Ngai have continued to face rains.
