Under the decision issued by Dang Van Minh, chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee, the social distancing measures will be carried out in line with Government Directive 15 until further notice.

According to the official, Duc Pho Town in the city has recorded 41 Covid-19 cases. Many people in Duc Pho have come to Quang Ngai, posing a high risk of Covid-19 infection.
As a result, authorities in Quang Ngai City has decided to impose social distancing regulations although no Covid-19 patient has been confirmed.
Earlier, Quang Ngai imposed social distancing measures on Pho Chau Commune and Pho Thanh District in Duc Pho Town based on Government Directive 16.
Quang Ngai City has 23 communes and wards with more than 260,000 people. The city is some 30 kilometres from Duc Pho Town.
